Session Description:

Is SSA/LGBTQ splitting your family apart? Does it cause contention between family members? Do you feel uncomfortable talking to your family members about their SSA/LGBTQ feelings? Do you feel that supporting your child means that you are condoning their choices? This panel will discuss ways each member of the family can feel validated, loved, and accepted, and the difference between condoning and accepting. We will also outline ways to facilitate a respectful and safe space to be able to express feelings and opinions without creating an atmosphere of judgement and contention.
