Blake Smith, CPLC
Blake was born in Salt Lake City, UT, moved to Georgia when he was twelve. He attended Ricks College, served a mission in Minneapolis, MN and then graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Psychology. After graduation he moved to Bakersfield, CA where he earned a Master of Business Administration at California State University, Bakersfield. After retirement he became certified as a Life Coach through San Diego State University and followed up with a Trauma Informed Life Coach certification through Centre of Excellence in Britain.
Blake has been happily married to his wife, Denise, since 2004. He worked for Kern County from 1999 until 2023 doing finance and administration for children’s health care programs and for the Animal Shelter. He began participating with North Star within the first year of its inception and became a moderator in the online communities within the first few months. He has been serving the North Star organization since then and is currently the Treasurer of the Board of Directors. He loves serving his Savior, caring for grandchildren, socializing with friends, staying physically fit, hiking in the mountains, and helping other people to live their best lives.
