Karen Penman
Karen Penman is a spouse and mom of three grown children, her last leaving the nest this summer to serve in the Scotland/Ireland mission. She and her husband Jeff have been on a journey with their middle child, who is transgender, actively for the last 6 years, but really, from birth. Karen served a mission in the Canada Montreal mission, has a Music Education degree from University of Wyoming, and currently sings in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. As her children grow and she tries to figure out what she’s going to be when she “grows up”, she knows it will involve helping transgender and SSA youth and their families.
