Alonzo Gaskill

Brother Gaskill was reared near Independence, Missouri. He converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in November of 1984. Prior to his conversion he was a practicing Greek Orthodox. One year after his baptism he served a fulltime mission in England. Professionally, Brother Gaskill taught Seminary for four years in south-eastern Idaho, after which he was an institute director at Stanford University and at U.C. Berkeley. He is currently an Associate Professor of Church History and Doctrine and Brigham Young University, where he specializes in World Religions and Christian History. Brother Gaskill serves in the Presidency of the Payson South Stake. He and his wife Lori are the parents of five children, and reside in Payson, UT.
