James Ferrell
James Ferrell was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. He is a graduate of BYU, with degrees in economics and philosophy, and received his law degree from Yale Law School, where he currently serves on the Yale Law School Executive Committee.
Professionally, Brother Ferrell is a Founding and Managing Partner of The Arbinger Institute, a global training and consulting firm that specializes in leadership, team building, conflict resolution, and peace building. He has authored several bestselling books, including Arbinger’s international bestsellers, Leadership and Self-Deception and The Anatomy of Peace, and his religious books, The Peacegiver, Falling to Heaven, The Holy Secret, and The Hidden Christ. His books have been translated into more than thirty languages.
Brother Ferrell currently teaches Institute for the Bountiful Utah YSA stake. He and his wife, Jackie, have five children—Jacob (20), who is on a mission in England, Anna (17), Sarah (15), and their twins, Elisabeth and Abigail (12).
