Monte Carlson
Monte and his wife of 37 years, Denise, are the parents of 5 with 8 grandchildren. Monte served in the U.S. Air Force as a flight dental officer before returning to Richmond, Utah, where he was born and raised, to practice dentistry. He served as a missionary in Ohio and West Virginia and has held many callings since, including bishop twice. Not yet two years into service the second time as Bishop, Monte revealed his same sex attraction to his Stake President expecting to be released but was asked to continue to serve. He continued for over 3 more years, just being released in February. Monte has a great love for the SSA community and excited to be a part of this year’s conference!
