Julio was born in Cali, Colombia and currently resides in British Columbia, Canada. He was sealed to his wife in the Toronto, Ontario temple and has three smart and amazing children. His first involvement with North Star was in 2013 when he recorded his Voices of Hope video both in English and Spanish. Since then, he has served as a moderator for the North Star Spanish Facebook group and as a member of the Board of Directors for 5 years. During his time as a board member, he led the efforts to organize the first Spanish North Star conference in Lima, Peru in 2019, and the first virtual conference in 2020. Julio is passionate about supporting his Hispanic brothers and sisters in navigating the covenant path as LGBTQ members of Christ's Church. He believes that we are all meant to return to Father's presence together and is excited to continue his journey back home safely with the support that he receives at North Star.
