Everyone’s journey is individual and unique. North Star is dedicated to helping individuals, families, and congregations with questions and concerns related to gender identity, gender incongruence, and gender dysphoria who wish to live in harmony with the doctrines and principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
PARENTS AND FAMILY
As parents and family members of an individual who experiences same-sex attraction or gender dysphoria, you may feel like you’ve been thrust into unfamiliar territory. You have. Your journey has begun as well. We’re here to support you. North Star provides resources and information aligned with the gospel of Jesus Christ to help you on your unique journey. We have built a community where parents and family members can find support as they navigate complex issues while walking the covenant path.
CHURCH LEADERS
Thank you for your love and compassion for those you serve as evidenced by your willingness to seek additional insight. Latter-day Saints who have personal experience with same-sex attraction or gender dysphoria who are seeking to remain faithful to the restored gospel and the Church of Jesus Christ, and to the inspired leadership of those He has called as latter-day prophets, seers, and revelators, may increase understanding and assist in ministering to these brothers and sisters.
SPOUSES
Spouses of a same-sex attracted or transgender husband or wife face unique challenges. You are not alone. YOUTH
We are in the process of creating resources and a community for teens 13-17. We hold a special youth track at our annual North Star Conference. We have a private Facebook group especially for teens. If you are a parent looking for resources for your teen, or looking to connect with other parents, please consider joining our Parents and Family Facebook group.
