Blake was born in Salt Lake City, UT and lived there until he was twelve years old when his family moved to Georgia where he lived until graduating high school. He attended Ricks College, served a mission in Minneapolis, MN and then graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Psychology. After graduation he moved to Bakersfield, CA where he earned a Master of Business Administration at California State University, Bakersfield.

Blake has been happily married to his wife, Denise, since 2004. He has worked for Kern County since 1999 doing finance and administration for children’s health care programs and for the animal shelter. He began participating with North Star within the first year of its inception and became a moderator in the online communities within the first few months. He has been serving the North Star organization since then. He loves serving his Savior, caring for grandchildren, socializing with friends, staying physically fit, hiking in the mountains, and helping other people to live their best lives.
