SEEING MYSELF IN THE FAMILY PROCLAMATION AS A SINGLE GAY MAN

Does God have a plan for me? Do I belong in His kingdom? These are questions that can weigh heavily on many hearts in this community and many in several other situations. In this session, Alex will share some of his story and perspectives on The Family: A Proclamation to the World, and how he has found a sense of belonging in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

ALEX LINDSTROM

Alex is a native of Utah and currently resides in West Haven. He served for a year as a library attendant in the Family and Church History Mission. Alex graduated from Weber State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minor in music. He works as a financial analyst for a hydroelectric utility and sings in the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square. Alex was introduced to North Star in 2012 and has been involved in the conferences ever since. He is thankful for the experiences he’s had and the support he has received from his family and church leaders. He is passionate about learning and exploring how to navigate same-sex attraction within the gospel of Jesus Christ.
