Steve Busch

Steve is a firm believer in the principles of hope and humor through hard times.

He is the first to offer “swears and prayers” when friends or family need support, and often shares medical metaphors he picked up as a healthcare worker. He planned to be in the medical field ever since Jr. High School, and despite an 8-year detour in the banking industry, he left a successful career he didn’t enjoy in order to go back to school and finish what he started years prior, which landed him in a career that he absolutely loves (but don’t ask him to look at your weird mole, please).

Steve is the happily-married father of five children, all girls except for four boys. He enjoys spending time with his family camping, hiking, or watching movies, but his favorite thing to do with his family is to school them in Catan every chance he gets. It helps keep his teenagers humble.

He’s held many different callings in the church, but he currently gets to serve in the best calling ever: Ward Primary Music Leader. His facial expressions during the Primary Program last year got rave reviews from everyone lucky enough to catch a glimpse as he kept the kids smiling and focused, and he loves bearing witness of our Savior’s Atonement every week through the inspired songs sung by the most Christlike people in the ward.
