Michael Goodman
Michael joined the church as a young adult in Southern California. He served two missions to Bangkok Thailand as a missionary and as a mission president. He has served as a Bishop and on several general church committees for the Church including the Church’s Correlation Review Committee. He has a PhD in Marriage, Family, and Human Development and is an associate professor of Church History and Doctrine at BYU. He has been actively involved in supporting LDS members who experience same sex attraction or gender dysphoria for over two decades. He is also a social science researcher who publishes regularly on LGBTQ well-being in scholarly and non-scholarly venues. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for North Star.
